His Goals Going Forward

At a time when the United Nations and the African Union put the importance of culture and the development of the music sector at the heart of their concerns, Paulo Chibanga firmly believes that students and future professionals, with their enthusiasm, curiosity and willingness to learn are the key to the future of Africa, and thus it is the responsibility of governments and the private sector to support their dream and help them to build Africa’s future. He continues to work from his native Mozambique to contribute to the synergy between Lusophone Africa’s stakeholders—artists, the public, producers, institutions, and its business and technology sector. His belief is that the Lusophone African music and culture ecosystem, an often underrepresented region in the discourse on the African creative industry, will be able to find a virtuous and sustainable economic model in order to promote music from Africa.
